Authoritative and Authoritarian Mothers' Parenting Goals, Attributions, and Emotions Across Different Childrearing Contexts

Differences between authoritative and authoritarian mothers' parenting goals and attributions in response to hypothetical vignettes were found to be more pronounced in scenarios depicting negative child behaviors, whereas differences in affective responses were evident across a broader range of childrearing contexts.
